Standing at the door, Wen Yan took out a key, intending to open the door, when he suddenly heard the sound of children making noise inside. Wen Yan frowned. His grandfather often left a spare key under the flowerpot by the door. After his mother's death, Wen Yan had come back once, intending to take it, but decided to leave it as a backup key.

He lifted the flowerpot, and sure enough, the key was gone. Wen Yan opened the door, and a child ran out from inside. Seeing Wen Yan, the child shouted, "Who are you?! Why are you at our house?"

Soon, a plainly dressed woman came out, looking surprised and a bit guilty. "Xiao Yan, why are you back?" It was Liu Meishan, the wife of their neighbor.
