MYA | Chapter 10
Having one person go and get a marriage certificate wasn’t much, especially compared to a marriage that had existed in name only for three years. It really wasn’t much at all.
The plane landed at Smith Airport. Luo Zhiwen woke from the tangled mess of his dreams, instinctively touching the mask on his face before turning to look out the window.
It was midsummer in the Northern Hemisphere, but the Southern Hemisphere had only just entered winter. Pale clouds drifted across a gray blue sky, and on the dark sea a few small sailboats flickered in and out of sight amid the spray.
“Good morning.” Dipper’s voice broke into Luo Zhiwen’s thoughts.
He nodded and said, “Good morning.”
“Interested in getting some morning tea together?” Dipper suggested unhurriedly. “I know a great Citulanya Restaurant in Chinatown, if you have time……”
“Sorry,” Luo Zhiwen declined gently. “I still have some things to do.”
Dipper sat back down with a thoughtful look and said nothing more, instead copying Luo Zhiwen and putting his own mask on.
Even across the Pacific, Dipper’s fans were still crazy.
By the time Luo Zhiwen walked out of the airport, he still saw many people sprinting toward the VIP passage with light signs in their hands.
He smiled and shook his head, then got into a taxi.
Luo Zhiwen’s parents owned two properties in Australia, one a villa near Bondi Beach, the other an apartment in the CBD.
He planned to stay in the apartment for a few days first, get used to the surroundings, then take advantage of the good weather and head to the seaside for a holiday.
Luo Zhiwen first contacted the apartment manager, then checked his identity information again. By the time he finally had a chance to rest, his phone was out of battery.
He hurried to find a power adapter and charge it. After the phone started up again, he called his parents on video first.
Of course he didn’t say he had come to Australia to clear his head, but made up a reason about looking for creative inspiration and barely managed to comfort the relatives back in China.
Once connected to the network, his phone slowly spat out the messages that had piled up overnight.
Aside from Han Qianshan’s hundreds of howling messages, he also received a friend request.
A pure black profile picture with a period after it, but the note line was crammed coldly with three words, Feng Qingzhu.
Luo Zhiwen almost couldn’t hold his phone. His hand jerked, and he hit reject in a flash.
Then he remembered, that was his…… ex-husband.
Luo Zhiwen: “……” Fine, there was nothing to regret.
Anyway, the lawyer had already sent over the divorce agreement. What was there left for him and Feng Qingzhu to talk about?
But Luo Zhiwen still couldn’t help sending Han Qianshan a message.
“Brother Feng added me on WeChat?”
Han Qianshan called him right away. “Sister-in-law!”
“What is it?” Luo Zhiwen frowned slightly. “Is Brother Feng unwilling to sign the divorce agreement?”
That was how he understood it. Feng Qingzhu couldn’t even agree to such a simple request as letting him pay respects to Old Master Feng, but Han Qianshan had misunderstood him instead. “Yes! Sister-in-law, of course Brother Feng would rather die than agree!”
Han Qianshan had even thought sister-in-law was asking whether Feng Qingzhu still liked him.
Luo Zhiwen lowered his eyelids and sat on the bed, letting out a silent sigh.
His cold heart stirred with another wave of bitterness.
Old Master Feng had treated him very well. He truly had regarded the old man as his own grandfather.
“Then that’s fine, when I go back……” Luo Zhiwen said with difficulty, “I’ll change it again.”
“Change what?” Han Qianshan had not noticed the oddness in his tone at all, and shouted in a hurry, “Brother Feng is going to find you, sister-in-law. Brother Feng will be there tonight!”
“You know where I am?” Luo Zhiwen stared for a long moment before slowly coming back to himself, his tone turning cold.
Han Qianshan shut his mouth in fear and did not dare say anything for a long while.
Luo Zhiwen almost laughed in anger.
Right, what kind of person was Feng Qingzhu? If he wanted to find him, wouldn’t it be easy?
Then anger surged up in him again.
What was this supposed to mean?
He had already agreed to a divorce, and now he still wanted to strip him of his right to show filial duty as a junior……
He thought: Feng Qingzhu, why did I love you for so long?
