PP Chapter 31
[Guild] Cherry Coke: Even now, the guy who was saying we had to slaughter all the DPS players until yesterday went on a raid just to get Peach some pretty new clothes.
[Guild] Cherry Coke: He even brought only his ranker acquaintances so Peach would be comfortable. Fu♡♡ing hell, what is this? Is that really Won?
[Guild] FastAndPissedOff: Now that you mention it, it really is weird.
[Guild] Professor Execution: Either we’re crazy or Won is crazy.
[Guild] 21st Century No Yeah: I’d prefer it if the guild master was the crazy one.
[Guild] 21st Century No Yeah: Guys, I’m already pissed off because of some bastard today, so if I hear that I’m crazy too, I think it’ll be way too hard for me.
[Guild] Cherry Coke: Then we’ll just have to go with Won being the crazy one.
[Guild] Non-Tanking Tank: If that’s the case, then… ㅠㅅㅠ
[Guild] FastAndPissedOff: Hyung probably isn’t even watching this anyway.
Just as FastAndPissedOff keenly predicted, Won was currently obsessed with getting Dohwa a new outfit.
Even though he had told the DPS players participating in the raid to give up their bids on costumes, it wasn’t easy.
What was the point of telling them? No DPS clothes were dropping.
“Ah, seriously, they’re not dropping at all…”
Won muttered, scratching his neck.
He was already on his third run of the exact same raid.
But all that had dropped were clothes for healers, tops and bottoms for tankers, and shoes for DPS.
Even those shoes were strictly for long-range dealers, so Dohwa couldn’t even wear them.
“Fuck, this is annoying.”
Won muttered in a low, growling voice.
The main tanker, who had been practically dancing the hula while targeting a monster on his monitor, flinched as if sensing something ominous, even though there was no way he could have actually heard the sound.
[Party] Tanker, Your Stance is Gone: What was that? I feel like something terrifying just glared at me.
[Party] Sorry, Actually Not: That’s probably Won lol. Only close-range DPS clothes aren’t dropping right now.
[Party] Corpse Stands Up: Guys, I got clothes hehe. Healer clothes are dropping like crazy.
[Party] Won: Everyone shut up.
[Party] Baby chick: Won is pissed.
[Party] Peach: Hyung. I-it’s o-okay… (crying)
[Party] Baby chick: The newbie might be okay, but Won probably isn’t. We just have to keep chasing them around until it drops.
[Party] Sorry, Actually Not: lol If you desert halfway without chasing them, you’ll be deleted from Won’s friend list.
[Party] Won: Yeah, if you run, you’re deleted.
[Party] Peach: Hyung…
[Party] Won: Uh-huh, yeah. My little peach. Hyung will get you some pretty little coats.
[Party] Tanker, Your Stance is Gone: Looking at Won’s broken spelling, he’s halfway out of his mind. Starting the countdown.
[Party] Won: Go.
As soon as Won gave the word, ‘Tanker, Your Stance is Gone’ pressed the raid start button.
Watching the numbers tick down, Won maintained a chillingly rational expression while typing an utterly irrational message into the chat.
[Party] Won: 3 million gold per person if the close-range DPS top, bottom, and shoes all drop this run.
As expected of high-level rankers, the gathered players all had lightning-fast reaction speeds.
[Party] Saint Mary, It’s Me:
Let’s go
3 million gold
I’ve been
Waiting for you!!
Yes
[Party] Sorry, Actually Not: I have been waiting for this day.
[Party] Practice Speaking the Truth: Wait a sec. I’m going to get some water and pray.
[Party] Baby chick: Yo yo yo yo it’s coming it’s coming I can feel it! Close-range top, bottom, and shoes are all here!
[Party] Corpse Stands Up: What is the tanker doing not pulling aggro? If you don’t pull aggro right now, you’ll see a squishy long-range dealer take the first strike.
[Party] Tanker, Your Stance is Gone: You crazy bastards.
[Party] Tanker, Your Stance is Gone: I like it. I’ll pull aggro. Going in front of the mobs.
[Party] Saint Mary, It’s Me: Let’s go!!
[Party] Corpse Stands Up: Ikuzoooo!!
With the shouts of rankers driven utterly mad by money, the raid began.
Every single one of them poured in damage more fervently than they had when running the raid right after its initial release.
Won let out a hollow laugh as he watched the damage meter nearly explode.
“Are they insane… are they that broke these days?”
Won wasn’t the only one bewildered by the sheer madness.
It was already baffling that celestial-realm rankers had gathered just to farm one cosmetic item, but Dohwa was left entirely speechless seeing them deal damage as if they were literally selling their souls for three million gold.
While a surprised Dohwa froze, completely forgetting his duty as a DPS, the other players easily carried the raid, each doing the work of two people.
Startled by their momentum, Dohwa timidly hit the monsters, his face drawn in a round, overwhelmed expression.
Checking the damage meter, Won let out a small chuckle. Ignoring his optimal healing rotation entirely, he focused all his continuous regeneration spells solely on Dohwa.
Perhaps the party members’ desperate longing for three million gold had been heard, or perhaps Won’s insane offer had genuinely moved the gods.
On the fourth run, the top, bottom, and shoes for close-range dealers finally all dropped together.
Thanks to the party members smoothly passing on the loot while wiping away imaginary drool, the outfit naturally slid straight into Dohwa’s inventory.
And it wasn’t just the close-range DPS outfits. Because the party members were so blinded by the 3 million gold bounty, they voluntarily passed on outfits meant for other classes too, causing Dohwa’s inventory to swell to the brim.
The instant Won transferred the 3 million gold to each player, the rankers vanished back to their respective corners of the game.
“Tsk tsk, bastards completely obsessed with hard content.”
Won babbled with a face that knew absolutely no shame, even though he would have been doing the exact same thing if Dohwa weren’t there.
Then, he headed toward the peach who was waiting for him at the guild castle.
Looking at the guild chat window, which he had kept off because it was too noisy, it seemed Dohwa had already tried on the little outfit.
[Guild] Cherry Coke: Won – you crazy bastard, come here quick.
[Guild] FastAndPissedOff: Ah man, haha. Peach says he’s not showing the new clothes to anyone until he shows Hyung first.
[Guild] Cherry Coke: Seriously, they’re both so weird.
[Guild] 21st Century No Yeah: In Korea, calling someone ‘weird’ is supposed to be the start of ‘love.’
[Guild] Cherry Coke: When did I say they were weird? I said they were crazy bastards!
It seemed Dohwa had holed himself up inside the guild castle, determined to show Won before anyone else.
Checking the first chat he saw, the corners of Won’s tightly closed mouth curved upward.
“My little peach did something cute again.”
True to exactly who his little peach was, he always picked out the cute things to do without even being asked.
Won, smiling with his long eyes narrowed happily, used the warp to travel to the guild castle.
As soon as he arrived, he typed in the chat.
[Guild] Won: Where is my little peach?
[Guild] Won: My little peach, Hyung is here.
[Guild] Cherry Coke: ‘My little peach.’ He’s truly gone mad.
[Guild] FastAndPissedOff: Blegh.
[Guild] Non-Tanking Tank: That’s a bit…
Without blinking an eye at the guild members’ cold reactions, Won looked around for Dohwa.
And as if he had been waiting only for Won, Dohwa trotted down the stairs and appeared before him.
It seemed he had changed his hairstyle along with his clothes. Atop the peach-colored hair, which was braided into a single neat plait and draped over the shoulder, sat a delicate tiara adorned with gems of a slightly darker hue.
A light pink dress beautifully decorated with ribbons and jewels fluttered just above the knees.
Below the slender legs, clad in white stockings with light pink ribbons, were small feet wearing matching light pink shoes.
Those shoes, made of soft velvet, featured ribbons with gems embedded perfectly in the heels.
It suited ‘Peach’ so well that it was immediately obvious why Won had gone crazy trying to get them for him.
Dohwa fluttered in front of Won, circling around him as if to show off the entire look.
Taking in the entire sight with immensely satisfied eyes, Won wore a smile like a cat that had just eaten its fill.
[Guild] Won: You’re pretty.
[Guild] Peach: I’m pr-etty?!
[Guild] Won: Yes. You’re so, so pretty, my little peach.
At Won’s words, Dohwa happily spammed the ‘show off clothes’ emotion expression.
Peach continuously struck cute, pretty poses.
Won watched the sight with a proud face.
[Guild] Won: It was absolutely worth giving 3 million gold per person.
[Guild] Cherry Coke: Per person?
[Guild] FastAndPissedOff: 3 million gold?
[Guild] 21st Century No Yeah: What is he talking about all of a sudden? Those clothes are non-tradable.
[Guild] Peach: Hyung… said the clothes weren’t dropping… and said he’d give 3 million gold to all party members if they all dropped this run, and they did…
