PP Chapter 48
“Fuck, I need to quit drinking.”
Won muttered in a half-dazed voice, chewing on the filter of his cigarette.
As soon as that voice cut through the silence, he felt the person lying next to him flinch.
The moment his voice cut through the quiet air, he felt the person lying next to him flinch. Turning his head slowly toward the movement, there was something that could barely be distinguished as either a lump of blankets or a person.
Won gnawed on the cigarette between his teeth, staring blankly at the white lump. Poking out from between the white blankets, a flushed cheek was covered in soft, downy fuzz. Light pink and soft, he looked just like a peach.
Thinking that people really do live up to their names, Won wondered how this guy could look so exactly like a peach as he exhaled a sigh through his lips.
“Dohwa.”
At the call breathed out with the sigh, the lump, Dohwa, who had been curled up tight, flinched once more.
Letting out a hollow laugh at the reaction, Won leaned his head back and closed his eyes tight.
He, a crazy straight man, had hand jobbed a man. Not once, but several times.
And he even let that guy’s cock into his back hole…
Ha, fuck, I… no, but he was pretty. He called me Oppa too… if I just think of it as doing it with a girl who has a dick… is it not the worst?
After running a hopeful circuit of logic to suit his own liking, Won slowly brought his head back.
He then made eye contact with the light pink peach who was carefully reading his expression.
Bleached and disheveled light pink hair, eyes and lips slightly swollen and puffy. After quickly scanning the forehead and cheeks flushed with embarrassment, Won let out a laugh that sounded close to a groan.
“Our little Peach, what should we do? Losing your virginity to oppa. But Dohwa, let’s not feel too wronged. Oppa just had his ass taken by a man for the first time too. I never thought I’d live to see the day I’d do it with a guy.”
Won chuckled as the other’s face turned bright red the moment those words ended.
It was an unpleasant morning, somewhat baffling and aching in a place that shouldn’t ache, but he liked that pretty face. Thinking it was a relief that at least the face was to his liking, Won exhaled a long sigh. It was the start of a day like any other, yet far from ordinary.
Checking the time, Won urged Dohwa to check out first. Even though he was the one who suggested doing it first, Dohwa, who had been hiding under the covers like someone swept up in the mood and causing an accident, crawled out of bed at those words. He then went to the bathroom to wash up quickly, only to let out a scream.
Startled by the scream, Won rushed over to find Dohwa clutching his face, on the verge of tears.
“My face, my face!”
“Yeah, our soft peach’s face, your face! It does look a bit like a dumpling bloated in water.”
Dohwa was irreparably wounded by those indifferent words. After washing with a sullen face, Dohwa snatched the outer coat from Won.
And while Won handled the checkout, Dohwa kept the coat draped over his head, claiming his appearance was a mess.
To anyone else, he looked like a criminal being arrested by the police.
Every passerby stole glances at Dohwa. Noticing their stares, Won looked at Dohwa with a peculiar expression. Then, leaning down, he made eye contact with Dohwa hidden inside the coat. The moment their eyes met, Dohwa’s reddish eyes widened and he jumped in startle.
“Waak!”
“…Anyone would think I did something bad to you.”
Muttering reluctantly, Won lightly pulled back the coat Dohwa had pressed down over his head to check his face. He had lent him the coat because Dohwa insisted his face was a mess and he couldn’t walk around like this out of sheer embarrassment, but he was just pretty; it was absolutely not an unsightly face.
Despite the shadow cast by the coat, his pale face with a pinkish hue was vivid.
His face felt a bit redder than usual, but it was hardly a flaw. If anything, it made Dohwa look like a boy suffering from the fever of an unrequited love. In a word, it meant he was cute.
“You’re just cute, though?”
“Am I cute?”
“If you weren’t cute, I would have killed you this morning and turned myself in to go to prison.”
The whispered words, accompanied by a faint smile, were chillingly cold, contrary to the gentle expression.
No, beyond chilling, it was terrifying.
Even the most oblivious person could tell that those words were entirely sincere.
At the whisper packed with sincerity, Dohwa pressed down on the coat over his head and only rolled his eyes.
Laughing at the reaction, Won rubbed Dohwa’s cheek as if soothing a child.
“Don’t worry, Peachy. The fact that you’re still alive after what you did means that unless something extraordinary happens, I won’t be putting you on my death list anytime soon.”
What sweet words…
Dohwa listened to Won’s words with a sour face, only to have the coat suddenly snatched away.
Taking his outerwear back from Dohwa, Won put it on and spoke calmly.
“You’re pretty enough right now, so just walk. If you walk around looking like a criminal with a coat over your head, people will stare even more.”
”It’s no use trying to comfort me by saying I’m pretty…”
”Of course, I was the one who said you looked like a bloated dumpling first, but Dohwa, you’re much closer to a well-ripened, soft peach than a bloated dumpling, so can we please just go?”
Won asked in a pleading voice, adding that he didn’t want to bicker with a guy on the street like this. Though he scoffed at the question, Dohwa walked ahead primly.
People often said you couldn’t know a person’s inner thoughts just by looking at their face… well. At least in Dohwa’s case, he was someone who walked around with his true feelings written all over his face.
How incredibly innocent and young. Even a newborn child wouldn’t be this clear. To Won, who believed in the inherent evil of human nature rather than its inherent goodness, Dohwa was an incomprehensible existence. And while incomprehensible, he was also an existence that wasn’t entirely uncomfortable.
put it simply, he didn’t dislike him. No matter what he did. No matter what he said. No matter what expression he made or what kind of joke he played.
Thinking this was a bit strange, Won stroked Dohwa’s disheveled light pink hair.
Pat pat pat pat.
And Dohwa, who obediently offered his head to Won, blushed even more.
His already fluffy mind became completely filled with pink thoughts.
Forgetting for a moment that his coat had been taken, Dohwa asked with a bright face.
“Then… are we officially dating starting today?”
Won paused for a moment at that question.
Thinking that Won hadn’t heard him properly, Dohwa kindly repeated it.
“Are we dating starting today?”
Frozen for a moment like an adult asked by a young child, “How are babies made?” Won burst into a dry laugh. He smiled mechanically with a face that wasn’t amused at all.
“Haha, my Peach is obviously talking nonsense.”
“We slept together! And you went along with it, Hyung!”
“If we go by that logic, fuck, Dohwa. I should have dated over a hundred times.”
“But you just let it happen!”
”Dragging an accident caused by being wasted into the morning isn’t what adults do.”
“I’m not an adult though!”
At Dohwa’s confident remark, Won looked momentarily speechless.
“My Peach… is determined to make me a criminal.”
Dohwa flinched slightly at that, said, “Wait a minute,” and corrected himself.
”I’m saving myself for marriage, so you have to take responsibility for me, Hyung.”
“I know you’re an atheist.”
“I liked the concept of saving myself for marriage so much that I decided to only believe in that.”
“Peachy is going to get struck by divine punishment and get even softer until he becomes canned peaches.”
Won spoke indifferently, emphasizing several times that he would absolutely not let it slide this time. To this, Dohwa pouted his lips and shouted.
“Ah, seriously!”
“Ah, seriously, what?”
“Why? Why not? Explain the reason.”
“Because you’re a man.”
“Ah, seriously! Is there no other reason?”
Dohwa asked with a face that looked like he was burning with impatience.
Won nodded solemnly with an unnecessarily sincere face and replied.
“Yep, there isn’t.”
“Really? Then I’ll go get gender reassignment surgery. Just wait for me. It might be hard to get it right now, but I can probably get a consultation today.”
